The best teachers are those who show you where to look but don’t tell you what to see… A

This past September I did what is know as the Tour de Picnic.

You can run (15km) or cycle (85km) for charity, you raise funds and you get a ticket to what in my opinion is the best music festival in Ireland.

This year I did the run. A couple of years ago I did the cycle, both very fulfilling achievements and good to know that the money raised went to very good causes.

However, the best part of the festival was the Mind Field stage. A collection of talks, food demos, plays, readings etc…

Aside from watching a very funny play called “Bouncers” it was great to catch a couple of talks organised by A Lust For Life.

This is a movement for mental health and well-being. Spear headed by Niall Breslin (aka Bressie) this is a fantastic source of information and inspiration for anyone affected by mental health.

We we believe we can add some value by creating a social shift within communities, we don’t need to reinvent the wheel, especially when the wheel is doing a very good job.
