Garrett grew up in Dublin, Ireland.
Qualified as a GP and worked in the field of drug addiction for a number of years within the Irish public sector, before setting up his own practice to ensure an approach that is is pragmatic, evidence based, non-judgmental.
The focus is on the individual rather than the drug and the programme is delivered in a way that reduces the stigma associated with addiction.
Garrett is passionate and vocal about what he believe are the policy changes required in Ireland to improve the lives and the treatment of patients with addiction.
