Fr Tony Coote was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease in March 2018.
I had the privilege to meet with Tony in November 2018 and unfortunately his voice has already been badly affected by this unforgiving disease.
Tony’s outlook in life and his faith have given him an incredible strength and a fantastic humour that are both infectious and inspiring.
Tony’s “choose to live instead of existing” and is making it its own personal quest to create awareness as well as raising funds for the much needed nurses for people with Motor Neuron Disease.
He walked the length of Ireland – Letterkenny to Ballydehob, documented on “Walk the Walk”, on RTE television and you can donate on www.wwyc.ie (Walk While You Can)
Born: June 16th, 1964 Died: August 28th, 2019
