Episode 52 – Fiona O’Leary – Campaigner

Photo Copyrights Independent.ie

Fiona was born in the UK but move to Ireland when she was young.

She is currently living in West Cork with her husband and her five children.

She is the founder of Autistic Rights Together and has been campaigning against treatments and therapies that are “miracle” cures for conditions such as autism.

Her stance has been controversial at times and she has attracted vitriolic treatment on social media with constant severe threats that have required police involvement in the recent past.

Two of Fiona’s children are on the autistic spectrum and she too has recently been given the same diagnose.
